We are proud to provide a distance learning model, AGE Virtual, to make private home-schooling with AGE School accessible from anywhere in New Zealand.

Providing learners with the opportunity to thrive

AGE School bucks the trend of more traditional virtual learning and has an approach to schooling that helps children to flourish in an online environment. With a focus on well-being first, the AGE School approach builds a rock-solid foundation so that academic needs can be met and explicitly encouraged in creative ways.

AGE Virtual offers virtual learning to students in Year 5 – Year 10 across New Zealand, to empower students with knowledge, purpose, a sense of well-being, and community. Virtual Learning groups are full-time, providing the same level of education as an in-person enrolment at AGE, but accessed remotely from anywhere in NZ.

Wellbeing is at the heart of what we do

Virtual class sizes are small (15 students max) to give each and every child the attentiveness they need to be involved in their learning. Each child receives a high level of support and nurtures strong connections with their peers and learning coaches - generating a sense of belonging and confidence. AGE celebrates each learner while helping them to build independent study skills and strengthen their personalised learning based on their interests.

All of AGE School’s learning coaches are fully registered and experienced teachers in New Zealand. They apply the NZ curriculum and provide exciting project-based learning opportunities for their students, as well as sound foundational skills in Maths and English. They also have strong IT skills and, most importantly, provide supportive pastoral care. AGE will also provide an emotional wellbeing programme facilitated by the AGE lead learning coach responsible for this initiative.

AGE Virtual is open and taking enquiries about enrolment for their virtual learning group for 2023.

Access remotely from anywhere in New Zealand

To access our Virtual School, you do not need to be in any specific school zone or district to benefit from AGE School’s research-based learning techniques and innovative approach to education. Our new ‘virtual school’ is ideal for families living in rural or remote locations where quality schooling is unavailable, or where zoning creates barriers to access quality private schooling.

Some may also choose to switch to at-home options during the COVID-19 pandemic for reasons of personal health and wellbeing, due to frequent disruption to routine, or a need to manage risk to those closest to them.

This model is the next generation of traditional correspondence schooling. Opened at the start of 2022, AGE Virtual is now taking enquiries about enrolment for 2022/2023. Families can contact us with any questions, or register their interest below.
